Kvernevatn power plant is located in Åseral municipality.

Construction work for the project is scheduled to start in the fall of 2025 or spring of 2026.

The classification decision for the pipeline has been received from NVE. The environmental and detailed plan and technical plan have been submitted for approval to NVE.

The power plant will use a head of 38.5 m. The maximum discharge capacity is 5 m³/s.  

Installed power is 1.74 MW with a Francis turbine.

Annual production is estimated at 5 GWh, which is equivalent to the electricity consumption of about 300 homes.
