Four steps to realizing your hydropower plant

Project development

A great deal must be in place before the first hole can be dug. We optimise the project for you by conducting thorough risk assessments regarding financial profitability and the impact on the environment, natural resources, and society. Together with our highly competent partners, we prepare the technical groundwork and a detailed plan for the environment and landscape. We help you with regional and local government permits, licences, and any technical recommendations needed. We facilitate the financing of projects under both development and construction.

Construction

We at Tinfos have extensive experience of constructing power plants; we act as developer and organise all project-related activities. Tinfos bears the main responsibility for HSE (Health, Safety and the Environment) and SHA (Environment, Health and Safety) on the construction site, and handles all necessary contact with important stakeholders in the construction process. At the same time, we also manage construction risks. Our skilled project managers and engineers will ensure good follow-up of the project, with regular reporting on finances, progress, HSE, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and other management parameters.

Commissioning

Experienced operators from our own operating organisation collaborate with the supplier of any electromagnetic equipment upon commissioning and testing. This ensures the required safety and operational stability, so that everything works as it should.

Operation

In order to ensure an optimal production of renewable energy from the power plant, some fine-tuning of operating parameters is required in the period following the plant commissioning. Our wholly-owned subsidiary Tinfos PowerTech provides services related to ordinary operation, monitoring and maintenance, including administrative, commercial and technical services. Via our wholly-owned subsidiary, Tinfos Entreprenør, we provide turnkey contracts (EPC) for you as the client. We adhere to Norwegian Standard NS8407 when preparing the contract. This assures you of a clear and secure framework for the development, with clearly defined areas of responsibility and interfaces available to enable the delivery of your entire power plant.

Our skilled project managers will ensure good follow-up of the project, and report regularly to you on finances, progress, HSE, ESG, and other management parameters.
